@ Paul, I dont think the exclusion or re-indexing really had anything to do with your new post, it might have been just coincidental.

In my case , I got back all my ranks within 2 days about which I have written in my next post and I really didn't do anything to get them back.

Hi I have had my blog on the first page on the search results for six months now ranking 7th in place. I recived around on average 2,000 visitors a day. My page rank is a 3. I recently updated my blog as I have nevr done that before. And then 3 days after posting a new post. It dissapered on me. So I took the new post off because I noticed google re indexed it with some of the new post text in the new google discription. after I took the new post off, i noticed a few hours later it was re indexed under the old discription but still havn't got my index rank back. It hurts because I had adsense on it ranging around 20-25.00 dollars aday. I hoped this was some waht useful for you. Paul

Thanks for your comments. No, this is the first time there has been a Google update after I started this blog and though Google steadily showed an increase in the number of links the Toolbar PR came up the first time now.

I got to view your blog through a Google Alert about general SEO strategy… just so you know. Out of interest..
How long have you been posting blogs? Did you have a PR at all before the sudden increase?
